Any girl interested in playing softball this year, there will be an extremely important and short meeting today in the multi-purpose room at M-period.  Please go to your study hall first and sign out.

School Lunch Program

Our school maintains a lunch program Tuesday through Friday of each week. Cost is $2.50 for singles or $3.25 for doubles. Students may order lunch by picking up a menu in the office or downloading one from the school website. Select the meal you want for the week or month. Write out a check payable to CELS Hot Lunch for the appropriate amount and drop off the menu and check in the school office. Orders are due by Friday. The lunch program begins September 7, 2010.  Students must bring their own lunches until that date.

High School Students

Attention all chess enthusiasts. We are beginning something new this year - a Charger Chess League. The CCL matches will take place during M period.  This means if you are senior on early release, you must be willing to stay on days when you are scheduled for a match.

 If you are interested, sign up on the bulletin board near the lunchroom bathrooms. There will be two divisions. The player division is for those who are relatively new to chess or want to learn how to play. The master division is for all of you who believe you are at or near the top.

Play will begin after Labor Day.

Problem of the Week Competition

The Problem of the Week Competition for the year has begun! Check out the Problem of the Week bulletin boards for more contest details and prize information. The high school Problem of the Week is posted on a bulletin board across from the senior lockers, and the junior high Problem of the Week is posted on a bulletin board in Mr. Hinz's room near the recycling bins.

LIBRARY

     The library is now open during "M" period to look and check out
books.  Come and see the many new books added to our library as well
as the new books for this year's Battle of the Books".

      If there are books you are looking for and our library does not have
it, please let Mrs. Sievert know and she will see what she can do
about getting that book for our library.  Any questions, talk to
Mrs. Sievert at "M" period.

ILS Booster Club Pizza Day

The ILS Booster Club offers pizza for sale on Mondays during the school year beginning September 13, 2010.  Student do not need to pre-order. Pizza cost is $1 per slice. A piece of cake is $0.50. 
The Boosters are always looking for student or parent volunteers to donate cakes for the Monday lunches.
